Bio
Michael D. Thorpe graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree at Emory University prior to earning his Juris Doctor Degree from Emory University of Law. While at Emory School of Law, Michael was a member and coach of Moot Court Special Teams, member of ATLA Trial Competition Team, member of the National Order of Barristers, and a teaching assistant in Research Writing and Advocacy course. He ia admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Georgia Bar. Michael was a Senior Assistant District Attorney in Dekalb County, Georgia, and practiced workers' compensation trial law with Kissiah & Richter and Stephen Friedman and Associates, PC, before joining Cuzdey, Ehrmann, Stine, Sansalone & Bobe, LLC. Mr. Thorpe has previously served as a Judge of the Magistrate Court of Gwinnett County, presiding over both civil and criminal cases over a fourteen-year period. He has been awarded the "AV-Pre-eminent" designation by Marindale-Hubbell, based upon peer review as to ethics and professionalism.
